Vulnerable heritage requires a non-invasive, highly accurate approach. Here is how we do it.
Historic buildings are often more sensitive to settlement and vibration than modern structures. At the same time, monitoring must not damage the monument. This calls for a considered, non-invasive approach.
Non-invasive measurement points
We use small reflective prisms or measurement targets that can be fixed without drilling, and wireless sensors that need no cables running through the building. The heritage remains untouched.
High frequency during sensitive works
During critical phases — such as pile driving nearby — we increase the measurement frequency and couple vibration monitoring with the geodetic measurements. At the slightest deviation, an alarm follows immediately.
Evidentiary value
As a surveyor-expert we deliver reports with legal evidentiary value. Combined with a thorough prior condition survey, they put you in a strong position if a dispute over damage later arises.
